A copywriter is looking for a job that can make her a millionaire, but that doesn’t mean she’s about to spend her hard-earned money on something like an expensive wedding.
Instead, copywriters often want to make their living off their skills, said Erin Cogan, an associate professor at the University of Chicago.
In fact, some copywriters are even looking to retire early.
“They’ve got a lot of stuff they want to do that they haven’t done in a long time, and they want their time to be paid,” Cogan said.
“And so they want the job done quickly.”
Cogan has studied the compensation for copywriters and found that there are many opportunities for them to make a good living, but they often face barriers.
In order to be eligible for the job, a copywriter must be a full-time employee of a professional organization that has the skills needed to write content for the business.
And those companies that hire them typically pay them well.
But Cogan says she’s never seen copywriters who aren’t looking to earn money for their careers.
“You can’t just hire people who are not going to make any money, or hire people just to take care of their families and that sort of thing,” she said.
And because a lot copywriters do this freelance work, the jobs aren’t always as glamorous as they should be.
“When you’re trying to get the job as a copy writer, it’s not always easy to make the case that you’re doing it because you’re a writer or because you love writing,” Chernan said.
The average salary for a copyeditor is around $50,000 per year, according to a study conducted by Copywriter Magazine in 2009.
But copywriters aren’t the only ones who are looking for work.
“I’m not saying that you shouldn’t go to college,” Cigan said.
But it’s important to know that the college tuition doesn’t have to be that much.
The average cost of college for students is $30,000.
That means it’s possible to get a degree that will allow you to support your family and support your career.
For example, Cogan noted that if you go to the University.
“If you’re interested in writing and want to be able to support yourself financially, that’s really a good option,” she added.
