The top 10 jobs for copywriters in 2018

Copywriting is the most lucrative career, according to new data from freelance copywriter Torontonians, and it’s no surprise that the position is so lucrative.

The average freelance copywriting job in Toronto paid an average of $18,878 a year, and that number only climbed up to $24,926 in 2018, according the report.

The pay is even higher in Toronto, where copywriters earn $25,000 a year.

It’s not all good news, however, because the number of copywriters employed dropped over the past year.

According to the report, the number dropped by nearly half, from 3,879 in 2017 to 2,917 in 2018.

The number of full-time copywriters dropped by over 50%, and the number who work part time fell by nearly 25%. 

For those who are still working, the pay isn’t that great, but that doesn’t mean you should quit.

It depends on your work, says Sarah McKeown, senior copywriter at 

“If you’re writing about a subject that’s going to get readers or a new audience, and you can make a living off that work, then it’s not a bad gig,” she says.

“But if you’re just trying to make a bit more money, you might want to look at another career.” 

The biggest problem with the freelance copywriters job is the sheer number of people who work there.

“I don’t think there’s a shortage of people willing to work on anything,” McKeoff says. 

The report comes after years of debate about the career options for copywriter.

The Canadian Association of Copywriters, which represents freelance copy writers, says there are about 4,000 full-timers and 3,000 part-timing copywriters working in the country.

Some of those positions are filled by students, who pay $15 an hour or less. 

In fact, the report estimates that over 1,500 full- and part-time freelance copy writing jobs exist, which is a lot of work for someone who wants to write a book or do a TV show.

But it’s still better than the other jobs, McKeon says.

The most lucrative part of the job is that it can be done from anywhere, which means you can move from job to job.

McKeoin says if you do find a job in this industry, you can still write a good book or work with a show like The Amazing Race.

“A lot of the jobs out there are just going to be for the sake of the pay and the fame,” she said. 

So which careers do copywriters pursue?

Copywriter jobs for beginners:   For anyone looking to get their foot in the door as a freelance copy writer, it’s important to be prepared to learn how to write the content for your own website.

Here are the five best ways to do that.


Copywriting jobs for a non-fiction writer: There are plenty of opportunities for people to start writing their own books, but if you are looking to work with an author, or just for a short time, there are plenty more positions that offer that as well. 


Copywriters for TV series: You can also find a lot more work for people who have been writing for TV for a while.

Some examples of that include writing for The Amazing World of Gumball, The Venture Bros., The Walking Dead, and even the upcoming Marvel series Daredevil.


Copy writing jobs for documentaries: If you want to work as a documentary director, or work in a nonfiction book, there is plenty of work out there for you to do. 


Copy writers for podcasts: For writers who want to write for a podcast, there’s lots of options. 


Copy writer jobs for films: Whether you’re looking to write your own film, or a TV series, there can be a lot to choose from. 


Copy editor jobs for books: Depending on the type of book you’re working on, you’ll have different types of jobs, which could mean you can have multiple jobs. 


Copy editing jobs for television: Many of the copy editors jobs offer some type of editing experience, and if you want one, there may be a position for you. 


Copy editors for films and documentaries:  If you just want to edit a book, the types of positions available to you may be quite different than the ones you’ll find in the book world. 


Copy edit jobs for magazines: Magazine copy editors and copy writers are often needed in a lot different ways than film and television editors.

I have been reading all of the books that will be released in 2016.

The question I have was whether the next big thing in fiction will be a copywriter.

I know that the next thing is going to be a bookwriter, and I have to admit, I am a little nervous.

I love the idea of a copyeditor but I’m not quite sure how that will work.

In short, I have some questions about how copywriters will get paid in the digital age.

I’m excited to talk about what it is like to be one.

My job is to help people get the work they want in digital formats, but I don’t know how it will work for everyone.

My goal is to get to the point where everyone can write, and my job is not to tell people how to write.

The book I write is not a copy of the book you read.

The title of this post is a paraphrase of a quote from Robert Bly, a copy editor for several decades.

In his own words: “You don’t need to be an editor to write a book.

You don’t even need to know what it’s about.” 

When I read Robert Bledsoe’s book The Future is Here: The Art of Copywriting I felt I had to be more than an editor, because my job was to help you write the book that you want.

I think it’s the future of the copywriter that I am the one who gets paid.

It’s the first time I have worked in a place where my job title is a title of a book, so I am actually the one to be paid for my time.

It is true that you are the one paying for your time, and this is true for all jobs.

I believe it is also true that this is the future.

I can tell you I don´t want to be in the position of an editor.

I do not want to get paid.

I would love to be working for a publishing company, and the job title of my book is actually a title that I can get paid for.

The reason I am not an editor is because I donât want a publisher to hire me.

If you want to hire someone to write your book, then you have to get permission from the publisher first.

I have heard people say, well, that means you have lost the right to say anything that you say, so you are not really a copy writer.

I disagree.

If someone has a right to ask me questions, I will give them those answers.

I want to tell my book to my audience as they read it, and when they finish reading the book, I want them to write their own book.

There are hundreds of millions of books out there.

You can read hundreds of them and not read a word.

They are going to tell you that you should be a better writer, but the reality is that if you write one wrong, it is not your fault.

The world is going digital, and we will all be doing the same thing.

I am going to do what I can to help my readers get the best book possible, and help my copywriter get the next one.

How do you get paid?

There are several ways to get hired to write books.

The first thing is by word of mouth.

I always tell people to get their books out and read them, but that does not work if they don’t get word of approval from their editors.

If a book is on the market and you do not know who it is from, don’t buy it.

If they do not like your book they will probably give you a bad review.

They will probably not even buy your book.

They may not even know who you are or how you got there.

But that does nothing to help the author.

It does nothing for you either.

The next best thing is to find a publisher who is going after your book on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or any other e-book publisher.

I usually get an e-mail with a link to my book and a checkmark next to it.

When I read that checkmark I am immediately put on the waiting list for a job.

I get to wait for an interview with the book editor and a copy coordinator, then an interview, then another interview, and then another.

The wait for my job at Amazon is always long.

I often wait weeks, months, even years for an editor’s phone call.

When you have a good writer, you get good work.

You get a good editor, and a good copywriter, you are good.

And that is where I have gotten most of my work, at Barnes & Nobles, and on Amazon.
